Monkey Eyes
What do I see when
I look into your eyes.
I see hate for the crule
things man has done.
I see freedom something
you once knew.
I see hunger for your
family you hardley ever knew.
I can see the smile
that was never there.
The main thing I see is
that one littel tear
through your bars of hate.

Sail Home
Down by the bay
The old man stood
Watching the ships come in.
For he was old and frail.
He looked like a dog waiting for his master.
While he stood watching and waiting
For his ship to come,
For he has sailed his time at sea.
He was waiting for his time to sail home.
Sail home to the keeper,
The keeper of the sky.

yeah, poetry.com publishes everyone who submints, then the only people they sell the books to is the people that are published in them. pretty good way to make money, i kept submiting poems just because i liked to see my name with a little copyright symbol by it. i thought that was cool. never bought anything from them, though...

I'm published in a couple of their books, too. Unfortunately, they do little to promote their books to anyone except the very people they put in the books. It was exciting getting that first notice that I was being published, though.
Cool poems, btw.
